Probiotics – what, when and how?
Join speakers Dr Bruce McLain and Andrea Moreno as they discuss the role of probiotics in the management of cow’s milk allergy in infants. Offering practical advice on when probiotics should be considered and the importance of choosing the most appropriate probiotic for every infant. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

Andrea Moreno (RD, MSc) is the Dietetic Lead for Allergy in the Merseyside area, a role that involves a main caseload of complex allergies within the Tertiary MDT Allergy Service in Alder Hey, whilst closely working with the Community Dietitians and Infant feeding teams providing them with support and supervision. She is very experienced in dealing with infants suffering with all allergies, including CMPA; and is passionate about reducing patients' journeys in both the diagnosis of allergies and induction of tolerance to these.
Dr Bruce McLain trained in paediatric gastroenterology in Melbourne, Australia and Vancouver, Canada. Upon returning to the UK, he established his practice in Teesside, ultimately joining with Newcastle RVI and becoming lead clinician.
Dr McLain’s specialty interests include inflammatory bowel disease, reflux disease and cow's milk protein intolerance.
